I was born and raised in Northwest Indiana, better known as "the region," and recently recieved my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Photography from the School of Fine Arts at Indiana University, Bloomington.

I've always found myself in and out of art classes and computer courses, since I was young enough to wield a pencil and old enough to computate equations. So, once I finally escaped the clutches of high school, I knew I had to chase my dreams in the creative arts, and I sought to combine my two favorite worlds: artistic expression and machine logic... graphic design was my starting point and it brought me to photography.

At college, I had the oppurtunity to experiment and learn a variety of wet-lab printing techniques using both b&w and color darkroom equipment, while becoming practiced with many different film cameras and lighting systems (ex: 35mm, medium-format, view-camera, strobes, hot lights, etc) and of course, I have become quite familiar with the integration of film into the digital world, D-SLR cameras, inkjet printers, and maintaining a proper workflow.

The work I have created over the past few years has always been an exploration of pop & underground culture, music, and entertainment as a product of un-mitigated imagination. Often enough, instead of aiming my camera at things that could be found outside my window, I tried to dig inward from the sources that fascinate me most... trying to extract something out of them equally as interesting and, ideally, stranger than the reality.

I have a great deal of interest invested in music, media, art & design and am largley fascinated by communicating through visual imagery. I am currently looking for whatever work I can get and always looking to contribute to new and exciting artistic endeavors... please feel free to contact me about anything at all.
